The motorcycle tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) mainly has the following important functions:

1. Ensuring Safety

• Preventing Tire Blowouts
  • During the driving process of a motorcycle, either too high or too low tire pressure can lead to tire blowouts. When the tire pressure is too high, the contact area between the tire and the road surface decreases, the pressure per unit area increases, the elasticity of the tire body decreases, and it becomes prone to blowouts when subjected to impacts. For example, on a hot day when the road surface temperature is high, if the tire pressure is already on the high side, the gas inside the tire will expand due to heat during driving, further increasing the risk of a blowout.
  • When the tire pressure is too low, the tire deforms excessively, and the cord layer and rubber will be over-fatigued, causing the temperature of the tire sidewall to rise sharply and also easily triggering a blowout. The TPMS can monitor the tire pressure in real time and remind the rider in a timely manner when the tire pressure is out of the normal range, thus effectively reducing the incidence of tire blowout accidents.
• Improving Handling Stability
  • Appropriate tire pressure is one of the key factors ensuring the handling performance of a motorcycle. Under normal tire pressure, the friction between the tire and the road surface is at its optimal state, and precise feedback can be obtained for operations such as turning, braking, and accelerating of the vehicle.
  • For example, when cornering, if the tire pressure is insufficient, the tire sidewall is prone to excessive deformation, making it difficult to control the tilt angle of the vehicle and prone to dangerous situations such as sideslips. The tire pressure monitoring system can ensure that the tire pressure is maintained at an appropriate level, enabling riders to better control the motorcycle during driving and enhancing riding safety.

2. Extending the Service Life of Tires

• Reducing Uneven Wear
